From farm to cup: The Ochils Coffee Story

Here at Ochils Coffee Roastery, we are passionate about honoring the dedication and care of the farmers who grow our beans in every batch we roast and every cup we make. Nestled at the foot of the Ochil Hills, you’ll find us on Solsgirth Home Farm, where we started as a pop-up café at the monthly farm markets.

At the heart of our business is a commitment to people - from our customers to our team, and the farmers who grow the coffee we love. Before starting our roastery, we spent years in careers dedicated to helping others, and that same ethos guides us today. Coffee isn’t just about great flavour; it’s about relationships, ethical sourcing, and ensuring that every step of the process supports communities and the environment.

Our Coffee

Inspired by the landscape around us, we’ve named our coffees after the Ochil Hills that overlook the roastery, a nod to the rugged beauty and character of the Scottish outdoors that we enjoy spending so much time in!

We roast in small batches to ensure every coffee we produce meets our high standards. Our approach is to highlight the natural flavours of the beans while crafting blends that are unique and full of character. We source our coffees from importers we know have connections and reputations for looking out for the farmers who produce our great coffees to ensure we are supporting a fair, transparent and sustainable industry.

  • Quality

We believe in delivering excellence in every cup, from careful bean selection to the final roast.

  • Community

Coffee is about people. Whether it’s the farmers who grow it, the customers who drink it, or our local community, we value the relationships that make every cup more meaningful

  • Sustainability & Responsibility

Working on a farm keeps us grounded in the importance of environmental conservation. From fair partnerships with farmers to thoughtful, local operations, we’re committed to making coffee that’s as kind to the planet as it is delicious.

All of our packaging is recyclable and we recycle our coffee grounds here on the farm.
